Seeing Sephrena's reposting of Leila's The Squad reminded me of how much I appreciated and looked forward to her writing.

I feel so sad that she's not here any more. I hope someone here is still in contact with her. I'd appreciate even a second-hand word from her. She doesn't need to write stories if it's too much, or she doesn't feel like it (or up to it), I'd just like to know she's okay, for some definition of the word “Okay”.

No one misses her more than I do

She had to stop writing for 3 reasons:

1) Her tastes in writing and reading had changed.

2) Her muse was running amuck with too many stories ideas and not enough impetus to finish them.

3) And this part... It is really not my place to say this, but since I have no means to contact her, I will do so for her fans with just the why.
Leila is losing her eyesight. :*(

I lost contact with her in February after I was hospitalized with a respiratory problem and sepsis of the blood.

I do not know if her eyesight has stabilized, gotten better, or the unthinkable. I have no clue. I would trade my life to give her back whatever she lost. No doubts, no questions about it. I think the world of her and her mind. She is witty, very analytical, and brilliant in working out problems. I appreciated that part of her the most. I put this out like a homing beacon... hoping against hope, that somehow it might draw her back inside even if for a bit to see this and know that we all care.

I have been waiting on eggshells to hear from her and maybe allow us to chat again, like before. I do not know her reason for the sudden break and withdrawal from everything, but I wish she could feel and sense all of us are here for her I in particular would like, if it were possible, to find some way to make her life more bearable and cheerful. Anything.

Leila means the world to me.

Leila did drop in today on the site

She is apparently fine but has been extremely work busy. Job comes first before relaxing.

She will let us know when she has time to come back and play with her muse more. I am so relieved that she is okay.
Not knowing was the worst.

Now, back to waiting and looking forward to when she can relax and throw around some more ideas for writing.
