So, I posted a blog post yesterday to tell everyone that we got a game of Divine Blood in and I was working on the new episode of Twin Tails but it seems to have mysteriously disappeared. Word count too small, maybe? I mean, I guess I can pad these out but what I'm typing right at this moment feels a bit ridiculously wordy just to let people know I'm still around and working even though I've been a bit slow this month.

But I jest and digress.

So, yes, new Twin Tails in the pipe, I expect it before the week is done. This new episode provides a new twist to the story and an epic new antagonist, I'm proud to say, of my devising.

Editor: So I geek out here, if you're not interested in the FATE System, roleplaying mechanics or know this already, feel free to skip to the next italics.I'm really not involved with the FATE system or anything, I'm just a fangirl and a geek.

FATE's mechanics are based around aspects, which can be invoked for a +2 on the die roll or a re-roll by spending a Fate Point. Or, the GM can invoke them to make trouble for you to give you Fate Points, which means the best aspects tend to be double-edged. In Divine Blood, you usually get 10 of these each defining a different aspect of your character. One of these is the Foe aspect, a thing that your character has to deal with as an obstacle-a specific entity (such as your nemesis) or a non-specific menace/diffiucty (such as a general animosity to your people/kind). Amaya/Akiko's Foe aspect turns up in the upcoming story and isn't exactly a nemesis but certainly an antagonist for her own reasons.

What's great about this is it gives you a reason to build weaknesses into your character. It incentivises players to let the world kick them back on occasion, which makes them more compelling to play. Even if you're playing a a god-like entity.

Edit: Back to your regularly scheduled informative blog.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make NaNoWriMo. This doesn't mean that the Witch's Mirror novel will never happen, just that I'm not going to have 50k words done by the 30th. FatIT needs to be finished, I'm going to do that after I get through this episode of Twin Tails and kick it out the door.

Thank you very much for reading!

I can't find any blog from you before this one since the 11th. Sorry. It wasn't unpubbed or deleted, it just never made it here.

Hugs,
Erin

That's wierd, I'll have to

That's wierd, I'll have to double check that my submissions are getting through. Probably my internet connection being screwy.

I've seen that before on mine.

the first click after typing it up is to a preview, I have forgotten that and clicked away instead of saving the post with the next click.
When that happens it doesn't show in the logs, since it was all temp user data and gets flushed frequently per normal operation.

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

Even better - I've been

Even better - I've been having to resubmit my posts three, four, or even five times, often waiting up to 30 minutes before they'll finally go through on a resubmit. 'Try again in 3 seconds. Try again in 8. Oh ,keep pushing the button whenever, we'll keep ignoring you'

So Dr. Bender may have actually submitted it, and was rejected.

Yup - just did it again -
