There has been a change in me.

Maybe it has been there for a while, but I finally noticed it on Sunday before church.

To understand this change, you have to understand how SCARED I was going out in public in feminine clothes when I started my transition. EVERY time was nerve wracking terror just to step outside my door.

And then, before church on Sunday, I walked over to a convenience store to pick up a paper and as I walked in my pretty dress, I realized - I wasn't afraid anymore.

Pretty neat, no?

I was odd

I did'nt cross dress until my RLT, and I didn't consider that cross dressing. One of the things that drove my extreme diet and weight loss is I did not want to look like a man in a dress..It took me a while to learn the clothing lingo among women. A dress and a skirt. Are not the same , They aren't close, Even with my weight gone It was almost impossible to find a dress that fit. Wide shoulders are hard to allow for.I went from 272 to155pounds.And was miserable the whole time. But I got there. It was good living as a woman while it lasted,. Damn stroke.Things move slower on it than transitioning. The strength I gained from transitioning is keeping me alive and fighting now. I never got into make up like I thought I would. It will be part of my life, I have promised myself this..

We have to learn what styles flatter our builds, whatever they may be. I was obese ,but this I managed, but I have always had the body of a fairly strong man Thnank god Inever had a masculine face and am not too tall(I was 5' 9", lost an incch due to hormones, The endocrinologist doesn't tell you that can happen!).I have lost even more weight in bed and have slimed down a lot I do not recommend it. but I do take comfort in it. Sorry about the rant it was Dottie's fault!

Wonderful news Dorothy

So good to hear about your epiphany, and obviously as a church-goer, you don't need telling what that means. God Bless You.
