How is it I only saw this the moment after I posted WMD #18? Now I'll have to go back in and edit it...
I'm not sure about using skeletons, though. Isn't that necromancy?
And a Happy new Year to you, too.

And if your hard drive
And if your hard drive crashes and eats your skeleton, isn't that necrophagy?
Happy New Year to all!

Skeletons, seriously?
I have never heard the term, what is it?

Another Term
Another term might be "template". A file with unchanging information used for all one's stories, with story-specific information inserted for each story.

Just what I've been looking for
This sounds a wonderful feature.
Could someone explain how to use it, please?
Skeletons, templates, whatever
Hi,
They are very simple.
Set up a story for yourself.
From the editor here in BCTS, copy and paste the story into a document.
Edit the document, taking out the story details and the titles and so on.
Now you have a template (aka skeleton) - save it under a sensible name wherever you want on your computer
In the future, just write your story using the document editor as you probably do already.
Then copy and paste it into your skeleton.
Adjust the titles, the attention grabber and so on.
Then simply copy and paste the entire thing here into the BCTS editor and post ...
Does that make sense?
If not, PM me and we can thrash this out with examples.

Yes, yes, very instructive
... and Dead Simple! Eh?
But, the confusion lies in Brits Framing things in different ways.

like
using English? Sorry not seen a 'Brit' (very derogatory word btw) specific 'frame' anywhere.
OTOH I have seen plenty of poorly formatted postings where a decent frame and formatting might help readers read the stories.

*sigh*
Puns just don't go over sometimes. *shakes head*. Skeleton->frame eh?
Dead as well.
