Strokes suck. Brain fog makestyping almost Impossible But can read and converse well MyLeft side is paralyzed but my leg is definitely getting better. I havestoriesII want to write dang it!

tape recorder?
Hope you get more function back soon - I've got a couple of friends had strokes, one has made almost 100% recovery, the other maybe not so good but fully ambulant now. It can happen, it will happen for you and in the meantime, that tape recorder maybe?

I understand if you practice relentlessly the brain can make new pathways. Its possible to relearn how to do things like typing.
The amount of determination required varies by degree of loss I suppose.

Speech Recognition
Perhaps you could try speech recognition software. It's not perfect and may need a lot of editing, but it could help you get back to writing.
