My mother gave me a beautiful card for my birthday.
It starts with, "For you, Daughter, on your birthday." and end with "You're beautiful inside and out"
I'm gonna cry some happy tears now.

Happy tears....
Ah, yes. That feeling of joy when you get acknowledged for who you really are. There's nothing quite like it, is there?

That is soooooo sweet!
I can imagine how right that must feel, being acknowledged and loved as a daughter.
I'm really happy for you; and a belated happy 50th :)

What a wonderful gift from your mother, absolutely priceless.

I know how I felt...
...when my own mother finally acknowledged me, after years of saying she never would. She sent me a birthday card on my 50th birthday with the words "Birthday Girl" printed on it. It was the only card she ever sent me that made me burst into tears. Sadly, it would be the last one she'd send, since she would pass away seven months later. But her card meant so much to me that I have it to this day, almost five years later.
Savor that time with your mother, Dorothy. You have the chance to experience those mother-daughter moments that I never did.
