well another politician has been bought or blackmailed by the toilet terrorists:
Louisiana Congressman Ralph Abraham has filed a measure he hopes will undo President Obama's directive for schools to allow students to use any bathroom that corresponds to their gender identity.
"We have to stand up to what I believe is the president's unconstitutional behavior that advances his liberal social agenda unchecked," Abraham said in an interview with Gannett Louisiana.
Obama's directive is based on Title IX, which became law in 1972 and outlawed discrimination on campuses based on sex, particularly concerning athletic opportunities and after school programs.
Abraham's House Resolution 5307 amends Title IX by simply clarifying that “the term ‘sex’ means with respect to an individual the biological sex of such individual.”
“For 40 years, society and law have interpreted Title IX to refer to a person’s biological sex," Abraham said. "Now the president and liberal activists are distorting that meaning to circumvent Congress to enact their radical social agenda.
"My bill removes any ambiguity in the law to ensure that Title IX's true intent is respected. Transgender bathroom policy decisions should be made on the local and state levels, not by an overreaching executive branch that twists the law to suit its own purposes,” Abraham said.

the real response to these morons should be
That it is NOT pres Obama, who i am not a total fan of, being libertarian, so some conservative leanings (dont shoot me though, i am a protected species, the rare conservative trans person :D ) but this "directive" that was sent out AT the REQUEST of school districts AND Gov McCrory (although i think he wanted congress to do something, NOT the executive branch). the "redefinition of both Title XI & VII were done by the COURTS, NOT the obama admin. the PROPER arbiters of the law, the JUDICIAL, NOT the legislative OR the executive. They have no real case. unfortunately it wont stop them from wasting time and tax dollars instead of actually doing their jobs and taking care of the peoples business

... Seriously?
Do these people have nothing more important to concern themselves with than bathroom etiquette? I pretty much had that handled by pre-K ... toilet training answered most questions quite handily. "Smelly stuff in the bowl, wipe, flush and wash your hands afterwards." Pretty straightforward, one would think.
Bandwagon jumping
It is election year so anything to get their name out into the press and hope that it garners some votes from those too thick (simple minded) to realise how silly this is.
I am so glad that our elections are over an done with in a couple of months.
One of the extremely rare statements that I agree with.....
That originated from that festering puss hole that Donald Trump calls a mouth, was his statement regarding the whole "bathroom bill" issue. Mr. Trump said, "Why are we creating an issue where there wasn't one?"
A surprisingly astute question considering where it originated!

I had the dubious pleasure of living in Louisiana.....
Back in the early 1980's while attending Tulane University for my Masters Degree at the behest of the U.S. Navy.
Keep in mind that this is the same state that reveres one of the most corrupt politicians of all time - Huey P. Long. In fact, one of the major bridges over the Mississippi River was named for him.
Also, this is the state where the citizens impeached their governor, Edwin Edwards, for stealing from the state (I believe the actual charge was misappropriating funds), and then re-elected him!
One of the most backward and contrary places I have ever been - must be the heat and humidity that does it.

Edwin Edwards
Fast Eddie was indeed a crook, but he was honest about it. He also actually did his job and was a big supporter of education. That's why he got re-elected. Others have come and gone and not served more than one term.

199?, I think
David Duke had captured the Republican nomination for Governor because the GOP incumbent was actually that inept, and most people thought Edwards would lose in the primary to the other Democrat in the race. When it ended up in a run-off between Duke and Edwards, some REPUBLICANS took out ads saying, "Vote for the Crook, It's Important!" Edwards won in a landslide, even though exit polls showed that more than half of the people voting for him knew what a crook he was. Later, both he and Duke went to jail for various sorts of fraud and shenanigans.
Edwards truly was the good guy in that election, or at least the lessor of two weevils, and the state GOP tried a lawsuit to keep Duke from identifying as a Republican on the ballot.

Have there been ANY documented or confirmed cases of women being assaulted by transsexuals in female bathrooms?
I know the answer
I know the answer. there are none. But there's plenty of documented cases of children being sexually abused in churches. Like I've said before; I guess there's a difference when a kid is being raped when the person doing it holds up a bible and says its God's will because he loves you.

diversionary tactic
They're just trying to distract people from addressing Louisiana's far more serious VAMPIRE PROBLEM...
Since the political machine is in bed with the vampires and their radical vampire agenda...

It was easier for the bigots in years past
When I graduated from high school in 1969 we did not have problems like this. We had over 3000 students, and can you believe it, not one gay or trans person. Well, except for me. I was in dresses and heels every chance I got. No one spoke out, let alone came out as LGBT. Heck, the term hadn't even been invented yet. Neither the school officials nor politicians had to deal with who used which bathroom. ( I did sneak into the girls bathroom once after school just to see what it was like)
Now people are willing to speak out, and the bigots are still stuck back in the 60's. I can't even imagine what it is like to be "different" and live in the bible belt. I doubt they will ever become accepting. At least in California there is hope.

I suspicion that this bunch is at the root of all the bathroom issues and the GBLT strife. They imagine that they are fighting a culture war between the true believers of God and the heathen, and I came out of that mind set, though I was often criticised, even yelled at, for being "soft on sin". A member of the United Methodist Church near Memphis, Tenn, just across the border from Southhaven, Miss. is at the root of a lot of it. Maybe the extreme heat and tornadoes make them insane?
I think they are perhaps much smaller as an organization than they say they are, and one search led me to a tiny warehouse office in Arizona. This is the work of a few very crafty and savvy individuals who seem intent upon spreading hate. It looks to me as if they find their activity a nice little money maker for themselves, and that is how several pseudo Christian organizations have operated in the past. They are very adept at scaring up hatred and fear where none existed before, and sadly my finding them and wreaking violence on them would accomplish nothing but getting them sympathy. So, perhaps the only thing we can do is what we have been doing and hope that someday the authorities will stop them.
Hate crimes are illegal in many ways here in America and so far they have not been officially charged, but one can hope that will come someday.
