She was one of the first people to reach out to me; friendly and very helpful. Eighteen dear souls have passed since I started here in 2009. I'm so sad to see another precious woman added to the list on the right side of the page. I've been struggling the past few months with loss between folks here and friends on the net, and I'm sadly confident that I'm only one of many here who are saddened by loss. God Bless her heart.
Love, Andrea Lena
That's sad news
I didn't know her except through this site, does anyone know what happened, because I didn't think she was that old.
My thoughts are with her family.

Jennifer helped a lot of people here with her editing and proofreading. She was always cheerful and upbeat when I dealt with her. She will be missed. Good thoughts in her memory for her friends and family, especially her family here on BigCloset.
Hugs,
Erin
= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.
From Jenna's sister on Facebook:
This is Kim, I am Jenn's sister. By now most of you have heard of Jenn's passing. She died on Monday May 18th. She was admitted to the hospital on the previous Friday. It was discovered that her heart was enlarged and that she had congestive heart failure. (Fluid around the heart). They believe she had a possible blood clot to the lung, that lead to heart failure.
For 44 years, to our family Jenn was a son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great uncle named Chris. Although we were aware of Jenn, the name she chose for herself as transgender, we did not know her well.
That said, our family will celebrate Chris' life as a family. His ashes will be dispersed with those of our parents.
I want to thank all of you who have supported Jenn over the years. Especially those who knew her during the time she decided to accept herself as transgender.
I encourage all of Jennifer's friends to come together and celebrate her life as your friend. I hope you will understand our families need to say good bye privately in the way that Chris had shared with me. Many blessing to all you. I am sorry for your loss.
The loss of one, lessens us all, and yet,
we were blessed to have Jenna with us, helping all she touched and being an advocate for gender rights. She will most definitely missed.
To her sister and family: Jenna was a special lady and she helped many more people than you will ever know. She was a credit to her family and to the trans community. Thank you for taking care of her after her passing and for letting us know what happened. God bless you and yours.
R.I.P Jenna. You were, and are, loved and respected.
