I'm stalled on another long story I'm writing, so here's a diversion. I can't remember where I heard it first.

A weary-looking man walks into a bar with a shoebox under his arm. He walks up to the bar, sets his shoebox down, and orders a drink.

"Hey, what's in the shoebox?" the Bartender asks.

The man sighs, opens the box, and pulls out an exquisite miniature piano. Then a man in a tuxedo, about a foot tall, gets out of the box, walks to the piano, sits down, and proceeds to play Chopin.

"That's amazing!" the bartender says. "Where did you get that?"

"I found a magic lamp with a genie inside," the man says. "And the genie granted me one wish. If you want to make a wish, go ahead, the lamp's in the trunk of my car. You can even keep it if you want. The car's unlocked, knock yourself out."

"I can make any wish I want?" The bartender leaps over the bar and is out of the place in a heartbeat. A few minutes pass, and then suddenly there is a collosal flock of ducks flooding the bar. I mean, there are ducks everywhere.

The bartender comes back in, surrounded by the ducks. "What the hell kind of magic lamp is that?" he yells. "I wanted a million BUCKS, not a million DUCKS!"

"Of course," the man says. "Do you really think I wished for a twelve-inch pianist?"
