first off, my thanks to Stanman for talking me into posting stories here. So, Thanks, Stan.

Okay, so far I've posted some pretty serious stuff, but that won't continue all the time. I'll lighten things up soon, I promise! I plan to start editing and reformatting my Heaven and Hell stories next, and before anyone asks... Yes there will be new stuff coming from me, just not right away. Patience would be appreciated from this end.

The most recent story I've posted, 'Dead Heroes' was originally put up at Sapphire's, but taken down because I actually got it published in a real paper book. I have the rights to it back now, and thought I'd share it with all of you. Truthfully, the book of short stories didn't sell all that well, anyway. :)

For fans of Morgana who have probably given up by now. I really do have the last chapters outlined. Life in general has been a bitch over the past few years is all, and my writing time dwindled to pretty well nothing because of that. Don't ask for details, I won't tell you if you do.

For you Whately fans, I'm currently working on a story that my fellow authors there are calling an epic. Is it? Got me. But it is long already (five chapters, 60.000+ words) and is just getting to the point where it is rolling along on it's own momentum. At last! My muse is having fun with it.

To those of you interested in the Fey story 'Learning Curve', bad news. I had to scrap most of what I'd done and am reworking the story now. I was just trying to cover too many things and go too many directions at once in the story. But it will get done.

There is also a Christmas story for Whateley that will get done. Babs Yerunkle is insistent and unstoppable when she wants something, that involves both Fey and Jade.

I also have a new Caregiver's story in the works. Another long one, and only about a third finished at this point. But it takes up where 'The Best and the Brightest' left off.

Now to some random firings of synapses.

I went a long time without writing a thing, but as mentioned, RL really hit me between the eyes then sat on my back once I was down. I've recovered, and my muse is really making up for lost time here. Wow is she ever! Now I'm not making promises as to when here, but there will be new stuff from me showing up again. Overall, the TG community has been very good to me, and I'm still committed to giving all you readers something back for that. Truthfully, the positive comments and genuine criticisms I've received since I posted my first story on the net (Heaven and Hell) have contributed a lot to making me a better writer. Stories I could always tell without a problem. Getting them into a coherent format and the little nuts and bolts things I still mess up with at times, but I'm working on that.

Since this is my first entry in this blog, I will say this. Thank you all for the support, the praise, the crits, and for just reading the things I write. I'll even thank the negative reviewers and others like that. You made me think about what I was doing more than all the praise I ever received.

Good to see you here!

Maggie,

I hear you about "Real Life."

Your stories have been on my favorites list since I first found Sapphire's, and it's good to see you're getting back at the keyboard.

All the best,

Nicole (a.k.a. Itinerant)

Yay!

It's great your muse is back and you're writing! I enjoyed your work and hope to see more soon!
Hugs!

PS: Thanks again for loaning me the 'Girls' from Heaven and Hell for my Christmas story last year! :)

A giant awakens

Okay, maybe not a giant but a darn good TG, well, writer in general.

As a dabler in mostly Whateley Fan Fic, your Fey and her pals have been an inspiration. As to ee's Caregivers universe, your Best and the Brightest was a solace when I learned my mother was dieing in 2005. The hero/heroine's restoration and renewal by the process that creates a Caregiver was a powerful image as was the depth and strength of your characters.

Heaven and Hell is wicked fun. Some of your more obsure stories are gems, the Nightwalker(?) one and the Vampire epic come to mind.

Good to hear RL and your muse are treating you better. Your comments at the Crystal Hall were among my favorites, I hope to see you there again though I have not been as dilegent there as late. The writer -- okay terribly hack writer -- bug has me in it's throws and I owe Bob, Itinerant and others a few things.

Welcome back.

Corazon and other tid bits

I just finished the story about Corazon last night and I was just so broken. I wept and wept. No, I don't lay any claim to being mature. Great Story, but I was so shattered by it.

I first encountered your writing on Storysite. If I remember correctly, they were fairly light hearted and fun. A while back, I spent quite some time hunting for you and your work but could not find any. I feared the worst.

In the last three years, there were some really dark times where the loss of wife, family job and health really felt like being thrown into a dungeon. Recently, in the last 6 months, a trip to have my plumbing fixed, new friends and life seems much brighter.

Many blessings to you, and welcome back.

Maggie's Back... Yea!!

First of all Maggie I'd like to say that I'm sorry that life has been so down on you. I AM however glad that things are getting better and your muse has returned!

I am a BIG fan of yours and even did a read through for you on your 'Peacebringer' story many moons ago. LOL I thought it was a super story also. Personally I can't wait for your new 'Caregiver' and hopefully a new 'Heaven & Hell' story as well. Anyway I've blathered enough, it's great to see you back!

Maggie's Back

Maggie,

It's wonderful to hear that you are back and the creative juices are flowing again.
I will wait as long as it takes just as long as I know you havent quit completly.

Nice to see something from you. Hope all is going better.

Life being what it is, where's the water? I'm going for a swim. It seems to be a catch phrase for many lately.

Glad to see you posting again.

I look forward to seeing the continuations of all your stories -- Fey, Morgana and CG most specifically. I really enjoyed them.

If you have anything on Fey that I haven't seen at Crystal Hall or Sapphires, where is it?

What do you mean you've scotched the majority of Learning Curve? NOOOOOOO!!!!!

LOL
Good to see you back. Thanks for writing for MY enjoyment.

SS

Just things.

Yes, I've scotched most of Learning Curve. It just wasn't working the way it was. sigh. I hate that, too, by the way. I do have a new Caregivers story working, and as mentioned do have outlines (rough) for the remaining parts of Morgana. Fey does have a new story, or stories (some call it an epic, but what? Me doing an EPIC? lol) That should start showing up at our Whateley site soon. By the way, a nice swim sounds good to me. :)

I need a Muse

I don't know if I am just lazy or just not that good, but I don't think my work will ever challenge yours. Maybe if I had a muse. Where can I get one, or do I have to capture it.

Gwenellen

You could try putting out

You could try putting out milk and cookies? Joking. The muse hits you when it hits you. You have one, just haven't recognized her as of yet. Trust me. She's there. You have to have one with some of the things you've written. So there! :) Feed her as she demands and she'll produce. Beer, french fries, whatever. Give the muse what she wants and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mine likes cheap beer and cigarettes... Go figure. lol.

Chocolate!!!!!!!!!

My muse feeds on chocolate. I keep either Hershey's dark choco kisses or dark choco truffles near my computer to draw her out. I think Chocolate stimulates the creative center of the brain, because when ever I'm haveing trouble writing..... a few pieces of chocolate and I've got 2-3 pages written.

A.A.

Just a little water back, please....

No sense in wasting good Scotch.

Or watering it down.

Set aside what doesn't work and see what you can use later. Who knows, you may find a use for it in a totally unrelated project -- or a new character to ease you through the burdens you face presently -- or as an exercise in creative writing or....

In the meantime -- Backstroke!

Sincerely, I look forward to whatever you post. It's bound to be worth an evening. Thanks for the writing and the hard work.

SS

P.S.

Try, you can always try cheese if the cookies and milk don't work. Seemed to work for the Kid and Santa.
