can i get a break?
At the weekend i was feeling quite upbeat but in two days its all gone a bit donald trump. (I won't use capitals as its not a proper name for something) So on Monday i went for a walk, hoping to get some lunch at my regular stop on my river walks, however, it's school half term, the place was swarming with bored tweenies and entitled mothers so that was a bust. On the plus side, on my return i did do some model making, just a section of town wall, but its good for the soul.
Tuesday started well, in fact it went well until i got back to the house. A cool wind dogged me all day despite the sunshine it rarely got above 3c but i managed to get in 103km which was kind of the plan. However, once back i felt a little off, by teatime i couldn't face food (sorry Bev) and now this morning i'm running a bit of a temperature. Looks like i've got a slight chest infection so looks like my plans for the week are going to be changing, i'll try to do some writing if i can get the fug out of my head.
Which brings me to the next downer. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed an almost complete stop of Kindle sales from US customers? Usually some 75% of my sales come from the US but so far this month not a single north Anerican sale, instead the small number i have made are nearly all from Australia! (thank you whoever you are). Is this to do with financial malais or the current cancel culture in US government? Have other publishers seen a similar thing? At this rate i'll have to get 'a proper' job to put food on the table.
Anyhoo, the other news today from Brizzle is that i've set up my 2025 charity fundraiser, the target is just £150, the challenge is to ride 200 miles from my Birthday next week until the end of March which should be doable even if the forecast of more snow and wet comes to fruition, i would hope that i can shake my bad chest quickly at least. Its in aid of Cancer Research UK in memory of my Dad who succumbed to rampant cancer last summer and has nothing to do with my daughter working to raise funds for them! If you'd like to support me go here where you can make donations and check on my progress, thank you one and all.
So that's where i am right now, i'll be back with more Gaby at the weekend,
Tschuss,
Madeline Anafrid
