I'm really glad the site is back up, but I seem to be having an issue with not being able to leave independent comments on stories or even give a kudo.

Things are still in flux for the moment.
The Kudos system had to be reworked a bit, and the servers aren't running at full capacity yet, so a lot of site functionality is going to be a bit slow and, possibly, a bit hitch-y.
Ms. Piper is working on it, but she's just one person.

Kudos button
I just now discovered that the Kudos button is currently located at the top of the story right under the title and just before the story tags.
Even though I can again award Kudos for a story/chapter I enjoy, the current location makes is very easy to forget or overlook that bit of appreciation towards our dear authors.
I hope that Erin and Piper will be able to straighten these formatting/cosmetic issues out soon enough. But meanwhile I will try to remember to scroll back to the top of each story/chapter after I finish reading in order to “pay my dues” for a well written story.
Here's what I can suggest ...
= be patient
= be flexible
= be adaptable
= if you get the 'frozen/archived/old" page, either enjoy, or retry in a few hours
= if site is up, 'stockpile' a handful or so of stories to enjoy during the down times
