or more excuses for a late post!

The weather has been a bit Northern this week, not enough to induce much in the way of frost/ice but with the northerly winds its been a couple of degrees into the c minus range even in the sunshine.

Monday evolved into a day of shopping and cooking, pretty much i shopped for, prepared and cooked a ver-ry succesful Shepherds pie which has had rave reviews from the eaters at each distribution! I will be making it again that's for sure.

Tuesday, ride day and i was out on the 'new' Ebike again, the intention was to push the range envelope a bit with a fairly rolling ride through the Chew/Yeo valleys between the Avon and the Bristol Channel. By my stop at Clevedon for a cuppa and mucky burger (double cheese this time), i had over 60km for just 50% of the main battery used, a win so far. The return from the coast is pretty flat so things were looking good, however it was to be into the grip of the quite stiff 30kph wind, the motor was to earn its keep. I could probably have completed the 100km ride on the remaining battery but i plugged the back up in when the battery hit 20% just to be certain.

It might seem like i've forsaken 100% Maddy power, i certainly haven't, i'm just exploring the potential of the new option. Plus i'm enjoying it - lol. I'm making a list of 'upgrades' to tune it better to me, narrower bars, less agressive tyres, stuff to add luggage capabilities, make wheel removal simpler and so will all go into the pot too, any weight i can shave from the current 20kg+ has to be good.

Today has been another 'shopping' day, new bed linen and lunch in The Swedish Shop and a seatpack for the E besides a bit of grocery shopping occupied me for most of the day. Tomorrow looks like it could be slightly warmer, not sure where i'll head to yet, i guess i'll be inspired in the morning! Friday is pencilled in for some writing endeavours.
