I got a chance to peek at the first issue of "Kevin Keller" - the story of the first openly gay character in the "Archie" universe. I thought it was pretty well done. He's shown as smart, funny, and decent. He has a dad who was in the army who supports him, and wants to enlist himself as soon as that's allowed. Now, if they would only make a trans character .....

Many decades ago I saw a short filler-type comic in Archie, about four panels,
where Moose was really upset, saying, "I had the most horrible nightmare last night.
I was in a room full of beautiful high school girls!"
And Archie, Jughead or somebody replied, "That doesn't sound like such a nightmare..."
With an expression of confusion and anguish Moose groaned, "BUT I WAS ONE OF 'EM!"
Well being a kid that totally cracked me up. But that night I had a wonderful dream...
Good for whoever's responsible for trying to bring Archie into the 20th (sic) century.
