I don't have a title for this.
As TDOR approaches I was thinking of a friend who did not survive the battle. This is the result.
Love you Char. Miss you.
When the time has come to shed this mortal coil
Seek shelter and peace among the willow trees
Be not afraid of whence you go, or from whence you came
For the Shepherd of the Trees shall comfort and protect thee
Through verdant meadows rich with love and warmth
Beyond Hallo’ed Hills and clovered fields as they rise and fall
By the banks of sapphirine blue mountain streams
Shall you find the peace and eternal rest you have been yearning for
Aged hymnals older than mankind sing requiem
As you return to the Hand of the Maker
Returning to all that was and all that may be yet again
Singing you home
Our mother has opened a special place within the bosom of the Earth
Ready to enfold and nurture you as you come again amongst the willows
Rich in the love and remembrance of your soul
Ready to renew, and replant the seed within you
So that which was you shall naught be lost
Return to the Grove with peace and tranquility my sister
Knowing that those that carry on continue in your stead
Sowing knowledge and compassion as they tread the byways of Her creation
Sustaining the dream of you
And all of us who share it
