The Outsider's Way...

The Outsider's Way...

Have you ever been to outside,
Beyond the well trodden byways?
Have you ever marked elapsing time,
And watched the world pass by?

Have you ever been so far beyond,
As to feel apart even from your own?
Have you ever felt so disparate,
Isolated and damn it, alone?

Let me tell you of comradeship,
Of community and cause.
Let the close bonds of fellowship,
Bind you with much applause.

For when does the ties of friendship,
Mean to agree with all you say?
And then lay the taboo mind trip,
Break it and then with loss to pay...

Do you yearn to be without judgement,
Free from prejudice preordained?
Do you wish to coexist in harmony,
Alike, but different, unconstrained?

Do not do things as I do,
Nor follow what I say,
But treat the world with kindness,
Thus following this outsider's way...

I would just like to say that I do believe in the right of all to be who they are and to express themselves, regardless of whatever anyone is, so long as by doing so, they do not deny the rights of others to just be. I have an expectation not to be made fun of, ridiculed, assaulted, preached to, denied access or to be silenced for any of my attributes or associations, which I refuse to attach labels to. Mine is the right to be wrong. This holds true within the community as well as without.

In a wonderful general sense, I find myself blessed here; but specifically, now, with my pain heavy on my heart, you give voice to me and others. Thank you, not for a rant, but for a sweet verse of release and peace, dear heart.
