Our fellow BC commentor, proofer and writer Karen_J collapsed at work and was taken to a hospital.
From what I was told it sounds similar to a problem she had last year. She is stable and appears to be recovering but will be on the mend for a while.
Like many here she has had more than her share of pain and turmoil in her life but has managed to survive and thrive inspite of the odds.
She is strong willed and opinionated and can get on ones nerves at times but is loyal to her friends and willing to say she is wrong when she is and I love her for it. She is one of the delights of BC, fiesty, funny, creative and emotional and well, damned human.
I wish our Dr Pepper loving Texican and her family well.

...she IS a PITA but she does great editing, it takes a picky, persnickity, dissagreeable individual to do that and I wish her well and a full speedy recovery.

I too wish her all the best for a speedy recovery too. I hope they can find either the cause of her problem and fix it or Karen is not working so hard anymore. Collapsing isn't so nice.

My hopes for a speedy recovery are with her.
She's commented on my stories and always been a positive influence, so I don't know where you get the PITA from.

Had an email from her brother. She's being kept in for another night, just to make sure, but she sounds in good spirits. I'm told she'll probably be offline for another few days. They've got her phone-of-many-uses, so now she'll have no excuse, but to rest!
