If I remember correctly Nancy once told me that her work was only posted on BCTS until she had secured a publishing contract for them.

If that's the case, I offer my best wishes for her efforts.
At the same time, even a notice in the form of a short blog would've helped. As it is, her sudden removal of her stories, with no explanation - and given the number of resentful authors that have left BCTS over time, will inevitably lead to speculation. Nancy just never struck me like that.

I thought that they were already published over at Lulu? I think that is where I bought them quite some time ago. I must admit I was a little surprised to see them put up here when they were being sold elsewhere.

...that she removed them at the time she published them. First and Ten has been gone for some time.
