An apology and an explanation (not an excuse)

Sorry to everyone here who has been waiting for the continuation of one or more of my series.

Unfortunately, I've been incapacitated by life.

In order, events that have conspired to keep me from writing:

+ my missing teeth acted up, hurting for no damned reason (except that the nerves are exposed) and that mandated massive pain killers to dull the pain.
+ Wife went in for surgery four separate times, and every time except the last something happened and they had to cancel the procedure. She was having a balloon angioplasty and stent insertion into her Iliac arteries (meaning they had to open up her arteries where they split to go down the legs and insert something to keep them open). Because of an agreement we have from a long time ago, only one of us is allowed to be "offline" at a time. The other HAS to keep it together enough to function and make decisions until the first recovers enough to take over and only then can they fall apart. Since my lady was offline due to the cutting, prepping, complications and so on, I had to keep the house running. No time for writing.
+ Finally had the procedure, spent overnight in the hospital because she couldn't walk up the stairs to get to the bathroom. No sleep for that time for me, and finally got arrested for "vandalism" at the hospital for shaking a candy machine to get my candy out.
+ Daughter's birthday and party coming up on the 27th. She'll be 17 at that point.
+ At some point in here, I re-injured my back. I had an "almost herniated disk" in my lower back from picking up a car (no joke) which got better. Something happened (laying on the floor to cool off one night) that triggered the pain again, and I discovered that I could neither stand, walk, move or sit without massive amounts of pain (fall on the floor screaming in agony type). Almost a trip to the ER, but whatever it was that caused it slipped back in place in about 4 hours and I could move again. Went to regular GP and tried to get pain meds, she prescribed drugs that I already knew wouldn't touch the pain, so I've been taking them anyhow and in pain ever since. Except when the muscle relaxants turn me into a stupid, drooling potato in front of the computer.
+ I ran out of my prozac three weeks ago, and had to schedule an appointment with my psychiatrist to get more. Earliest appt was two days ago, and I finally got my drugs again. Those of you with Manic Depression or Chronic Depression know that feeling of being totally bored and unmotivated to do ANYTHING without the drugs. That was me.
+ Wordpress. Blogs take a lot of work to get themed right and working right. When I had time that is what I have been doing. But I think I'm pretty much done at this stage.

But, there is hope at the end of the tunnel. I have my drugs and have been taking them, so I'll be interested in things again. I have a pain med that kills the pain and gets me slightly tipsy (hydrocodone) thanks to my wife, her feet have warmed up due to the blood flow going to her feet now, she can actually stand for more than 5 minutes and walk more than 100 feet. So things are getting back to normal. I have most of Samantha 7 written, just a couple more pages to tie this episode up and then to my wife/editor to improve it.

I'm going to goal to have it up sometime this week.

(Please God let me get it up this week, no more BS, please?)
