Does this relate to the individual web sites that Erin is talking about? I think I am pretty sick of certain things; I don't even get dissed but just ignored. I think I would maybe like to try the thing with Erin but I must admit that I am completely a Ditz when it comes to making artfully crafty and pretty things. Oh, I love them but have about as much talent in Art as a pig is at flying a 747.

I don't think this has anything to do with TGL.
But TGL is not a replacement for BCTS, it's just a different sort of thing. For those who want to do it, it's there. But BC will still be here. It's not really a competition, TGL is like a lot of private streets but BCTS is downtown. :)

On a more mundane level
I have said that transsexualism is contagious. Put one TS in a group of TVs and watch half of them catch it.
Years ago, I went to an event, which was mainly for cross-dressers. I was the guest of a friend who was involved with the event. I happily sat in with a group of wives and girlfriends and behaved myself, just listening and observing.
At the end of the evening I was saying goodbye to my friend when a young TV passing by asked if I'd 'had a good gawp'? I wasn't sure how to reply and I still kick myself that I told the truth because I was there for another two hours answering questions, once he got over his shock.

Apparently SOME do dress up for the "shock effect" (or so I've heard) and others are REALLY defensive about needing to dress, and feel outsiders are just there to criticize.
Maybe one day (In my lifetime, please!) there will be more acceptance, enough so such that such an encounter wouldn't be needed.
