Update May 27 - The qnez4u server is up again. The Gallery looks to be intact. I'm not certain what the exact cause is/was but the logs show a possible hard drive problem. I've made a backup of the Gallery so we haven't lost anything and moved a copy of the backup file to one of Erin's other servers.

The qnez4u server is down and may be down for some time.
The techs are working on it back in North Carolina and will tell me if I can get it back up or if I have to reinitialize which would suck 'cause my most recent backup of Gallery is JANUARY!
It's costing me $15 a half hour for them to work on it, too, since this is a barebones server with no support included in basic cost. Plus, my Mom needs me over there because she had minor skin surgery yesterday.
No A2Z today most likely, either.

Thanks very much for the server fix. Slefishly, naturally, I would have hated to see a lot of time an effort vaporized like that! It is always a risk of course but thanks for ducking it this time! :)

Well, it wasn't all me...
The folks at the server hosting company got it running again. Erin and I couldn't even log into it to see what was wrong last night. I just made the backup when I discovered the server was up again.

Well, I know we all appreciate what was done! Now, Erin mentions a $15 per half hour fee for the techs, I'd like to challenge everybody on here to make a $15 donation to BC to help cover the cost. Of course, as the donations are anonymous, only you will know if you have, but it ought to give you a nice warm feeling inside!
Edit: I actually donated $16, to help make up for Amazon's fees.

Thanks, Karen. :) They only charged for one half hour, I'm happy to say. It seemed to take forever but I guess that was just them getting around to doing it. And they didn't leave much in the way of notes but apparently, the hard disk had a problem and the server was spending all its time running diagnostics. They don't say so but they probably locked out some of the disk to solve the problem. In which case, since that would be a HARDWARE problem, I may get the $15 refunded when the bill next comes due. :)
