Bob and I are trying something different in a new website. Well, I did something like this before but this is new and a little bit different.

The idea is to extend BC's philosophy of letting the author be in charge another step. Each author will have their own webpage with their own website address at TG Library. So each author will be pretty much in control of how their website looks and what their content is.

The site is up and experimental right now, you can go there and create a webpage but be warned, everything may well be wiped out while Bob and I experiment with the software.

TG Library will specialize in offering free webpages for authors and people with interesting information for the TG community. People with something to sell will be able to buy webpages for very low rates and there will be advertising.

I hope to have this up and running by the end of the month.

TG Library and Author Web Pages.

I'm sure this will delight

Angharad's picture

some people, especially the computer literate types, but for us technophobes, it sounds scary. It took me nearly a year before I could cut and paste...I know, sad but I can mend a puncture without the manual, even if I can't programme the video. As for organising a web page...gulp!

Angharad

Great news

This is good, I have some ideas I'd like to do. My skills, on the other hand, may limit things just a bit. Unlike Angharad, I learned how to cut-n-paste years ago. However, it's getting expensive to replace the monitor every six months or so when I can no longer seen the screen for all the bits of paper stuck on it. I tried White-Out(tm) but it's not any better.

So I'll wait until things are stable before venturing forth yet again into cyberland.
