"... complete in one posting ..."
Uhm ... Sorry...
Maybe this is 'just me', but -my- comfortable reading length is about 7,000 words.
Over 7,000 words, and my mindset starts to change from "Hey, this is great stuff", to "Are we there yet?" and finally "I'm lost. And I'm in overload. Should I just 'bail out'? " Worse, if I get distracted and lose my place ... it's hard to find where I was. With chapters, not so bad (Bike, Mates and similar).
I appreciate that authors here are very reluctant to "flood" the Home Page, thereby pushing other authors down and 'out of sight'.
And I have no idea where the balance is. I have seen some "Very Long one-post stories" that have internal chapter headings. This lets me take a mental break. If I get lost, I can use Find for "Chapter" and get "old .. old .. new" and resume reading.

Anyhow, here's my "two cents", and I'll happily give a nickel refund if this isn't useful.
Unsure about the rules
Would you like for me to attach the ebook version to my posting?

Yes, thank you
That option would definitely be a welcome boon for my very colorful brain! But it would also have the very high potential of reducing the number of “reads”, “kudos” and comments.
The “reads” (or “total views”) are artificially higher on larger posts, because many readers will have to call up the post multiple times before they are finished reading. As a matter of fact, just check the “reads” counter, hit “Page refresh” (or F5 in FireFox) and see how the “reads” (or “total views”) counter increases.
The lower number of “kudos” is very likely, because many readers would forget to come back on-line to click on the “kudos” button. The same reasoning also applies to the number of comments. Though my gut feeling is, that longer postings would generally have fewer comments than shorter ones. Mainly due to being “overwhelmed” with so many impressions. (Just my gut feeling, NOT supported or backed by any kind of objective research.)
The term “colorful brain” is a very common self-identification used by neurodivergent people in German-speaking Central Europe. Together with the rainbow-hued infinity symbol as a logo. It is an apt description of what happens with those of us who are ADHD or on the Autism Spectrum or both. Diversity is a challenge, but it can also be a huge enrichment, if you are willing to invest the time and effort to understand our unique challenges and struggles and provide some accommodation.
Personally I have always struggled with a rather short attention span. Except when I fall into a hyper-focus. But in the last year or two I have found it increasingly difficult to achieve this hyper-focus. Watching TV or going to the movie theater is an absolute NO-GO for me, because after 10-15 minutes max I either fall asleep or I need to pause the program for 5-10 minutes to reset my brain (get a snack or drink, or go to the toilet) before I can come back and continue watching the program. I have a similar issue with reading, but it is much easier to maintain continuity with a “book” than with a broadcast you can not pause.
