Supreme Court allows Trump administration to enforce trans military ban
“An unprecedented degree of animus towards transgender people animates and permeates the Ban: it is based on the shocking proposition that transgender people do not exist,” they wrote.
“Along with other recent executive orders targeting transgender people for opprobrium and discrimination, the Ban claims that having a gender identity that differs from one’s birth sex is a ‘falsehood’ or ‘false claim.’”

I prayed and hoped the attack on transgender would end at the Supreme Court, a last line of defense. Think I know how the Christians felt in the Roman Coliseum when they were fed to the lions. Not sure where to look to turn this whole "hate transgender" attitude around. The haters aren't listening to medical research, the truth.

I love all of God's special children. Going to look in the mirror to make sure I do exist and then cry for awhile as it's all I have left at this time. Please take care and don't poke the haters.

Past Service
I wonder IF this present madness will affect benefits for past service? I served in the Vietnam Era. I have a Doctor's appointment at the VA tomorrow.

VA Is Safe
Ahabidah, I will repeat what the VA told me when I asked the same question. Nothing has changed. All Vets are still accepted in the VA regardless of Trump's opinion on treating transgender. Some "non essential" services for trans are being closed. There is no new acceptance into any transgender support if one isn't already in the programs.
Keep in mind each VA actually operates just a little differently. Don't freak out sugar. What I'm getting back is from OKC VA. I have the full support from Administration on down to doctors, nurses, medical staff.

Last week Xrays I love it when I get the young ones, they are so fresh to life.
Technician, "Remove all your jewelry, earrings, necklace, do you have any metal...?"
I couldn't let it slide. "No bullet fragments, shrapnel nor any civilian metals implanted."
Technician. "Okay stand..."
"You want me to remove my bra? It has metal hooks."
"....um, ah, yes." He was looking everywhere except at me.
Shed my blouse and my bra right in front of him and God. This is a hospital, we all know what the human anatomy looks like and if he doesn't it's time he learned. I have no shame and can't be embarrassed. It took him a really long time to pick up a hospital gown and hand it to me.
I think he took more than the necessary Xrays. After getting dressed again I told him if I glowed in the dark going home I was using his name in vain. I believe I over whelmed him as he never spoke to me again. Life is too short to take it seriously. Poke at it with a stick and have fun. We don't get a do over.

Laughter of the very early morning
Since it is very, very, very early in the morning here in Germany (00:15), your anecdote of how you had some fun at the expense of some greenhorn hospital technician literally allowed me to start this day with a good chuckle. Thank you!
Currently serving soldiers
I am wondering whether currently serving members will get an honorable discharge
What i don't get is if you already passed the rigorous standards to serve you are now unfit to serve
That is just ridiculous
