I was watching RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearing today………

And in between being disgusted to the point of wanting to throw up, and being outraged to the point of wanting to throw something at the TV, I found this article online. As the author stated, his list by no means contains all of the possible ways to fight back against the atrocities the Trump administration is inflicting on this country, but it is a good place to start - and if we don’t fight back, we might as well just roll over and die.

I, for one, am not about to give up. I will not go quietly into that goodnight. I will not roll over and play dead. And I will certainly not let them march me quietly into some concentration camp like the Nazi’s that they are.

Go through the list and find something you feel comfortable with doing - find something you can do and are willing to do, but STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!

I guarantee that you will not be alone, for I will be there beside you.

Remember, as Martin Niemoller so eloquently stated:

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”

If we are not willing to stand up for ourselves, if we are not willing to stand up for those around us, then we will get that which we deserve. History has shown us where this road leads, and I for one am not willing to walk down that path. If there is one lesson that I take from my time in the service, it is that the simplest answer is to act. We cannot simply hide and hope that this all blows over in four years - in four years it will be too late for many, possibly even some of us.

For as Benjamin Franklin said, “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.” It was true in 1776, and it is still true today.
