I had a very interesting video recommended to me by the YouTube algorithm. The video “Top 5 Benefits of Crossdressing in Public 2024” looks at both directions of cross-dressing, It also explores the individual and societal benefits of cross-dressing.

Be Yourself

There is a whole lot more in that video than crossdressing as a lot of it is mentally pushing toward self acceptance and approval. Too many of the girls are looking for approval, even encouragement from others before they can accept themselves. Sadly most of life doesn't work that way. Instead it's the opposite, as one must believe and accept themselves before others will accept them.
I love this video as a motivational inspiration for the transgender girls who have yet to fully embrace their gift in life, the boy-girl mix.

Self-acceptance is a big part of self-care

Thank you Barb for your comment! And yes, self-acceptance, as you pointed out, is a big part of self-care.

As far back as Kindergarten (age 5) I had some pretty strong ideas about my identity and presentation, that would often be in direct opposition to accepted societal norms in the isolated community where I grew up. And that would often result in severe bullying and mobbing. Whenever I tried to conform to the societal norms in order to be accepted, my mental health would go downhill. And recover when I accepted myself, resulting in aforementioned mobbing with the resulting emotional (but also some physical and later economical) abuse and trauma. I got my first diagnosis of depression at age 11, and more than 40 years later still struggling. Wishes of self-harm and even checking out of this life have been a recurring theme since the late 1970s. Though my religious background has kept me away from active suicide. And adopting the following motto has been a further safeguard in the last 20+ years:

Suicide is a very permanent solution to a temporary problem.
