First book won't be one of mine
The first book won't be one of mine. I've asked another author to pick one of her books to give us a start. After that the book choice will be by consensus of the book club members. Watch this space for the first book we'll read's announcement.

Sounds like a neat idea!

Book Recommendations now open to Members & via BCTS comments
I look forward to helping BCTS out by making sure that the BCTS / DopplerPress staff's recommendations are brought to the club's attention. When DopplerPress wins, all of Big Closet Top Shelf wins.
Thanks Melanie E. ! The Book Club will keep in contact to make the difference our community wants and needs.
You too can recommend a book to the Book Club directly when you become a member.

Where will we meet?
Hi, the purpose of a book club is to get together and discuss the book that we are reading. So, we must come to a consensus on things and here is the first. Are we going to meet in a text chat or voice chat or video chat? There is a text chat function to the book club so we might use that in a 'play by mail kind of way' where we start our discussion on say Part 1 of the book and continue it by posting and replying to text messages over say a week's time. Take a week break so everyone has a chance to read the next part and then repeat the process. Please reply to this comment and let you know your preference so that we can get a consensus. Thank you all!!
