For those of you who are enjoying reading my Novel Series 'Friending Jane Austen,' I must apologize. I was posting as I went along and hit a road block. I promise I won't make that mistake again. In the meantime, I will be posting some short stories and novelettes I hope you enjoy. I have a few novels that are about 3/4 finished, but those will have to wait until the muses return. Being bipolar, sometimes the Muse is removed forcibly, despite my best efforts to protect her. Take care and may all your days be bright!

My muse

I understand completely. I have two stories that I'm working on. It's kind of my technique to switch to the other one when the story just won't flow. Kind of putting the story on the back burner to let it simmer while the idea settles and then go back to it when the now current story bogs, or the first story jumps to the front of my mind and prevents me from ignoring it.

However, recently I sit down to write because I know were the story has to go from that point and even what I have to write to get it there. If I'm lucky, I can get a paragraph or two and my muse decides she would rather play computer games. :o(

Hugs
Patricia

"Evil thought" - so don't.

I had the thought - read some really 'trashy' stuff.

Where I'm at (USA), ten minutes at the check-out lane (don't buy it) with The National Inquirer should do do it. The kind of 'rag' that has headlines like "Elvis Alive! Space Aliens Demand Ransom!" or "Lose 10 Pounds in 10 Minutes With Walnut Hull Tea." (Disclaimer - don't even think about doing this!)

That might get your Muse coming back with her sleeves rolled up, announcing "Put that magazine down! We can do better!"
