So, here we are at Chemo Day 3. First the good news. Doctor is VERY pleased with my numbers. He's going to schedule me a PET scan after my next infusion (Chemo Day 4) instead of waiting for six months. Fingers crossed that news will be good! So far cold sensitivity has been my greatest side effect, if you don't count all the time of coming and going and hauling around the slow dose pump from now until Thursday.

While getting the port connected is hurting less, it still feels like being stabbed with an ice pick, even with the lidocaine paste I put on before I go. I did get my wrist slapped as the nurses found out I've been coming to chemo on an empty stomach. Evidently this is a big no no, but I had none of the nausea or vomiting associated with chemo, so I'm not sure it's so bad? We'll see as I promised to have food on my stomach for the next infusion.

Still sweating my finances, but especially with the down turn over the last few days. So far $2300 has disappeared out of my 401k. But there seems to be a surge in buying, so I'm trying to grit and bear it and ride it out. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and want to help lighten my load, you can donate at:

E. E. Nalley's Cancer Fund

Every donation of $5 or more will get a copy of my novel, Beyond This Illusion which is not available anywhere else. For those interested, the back of the cover blurb goeth thusly:

Be Careful What You Wish For:

Jean and Sydney were a pair of ordinary young people, working drudgery jobs at a hotel, when an idle wish, spoken into the ear of someone with the power to grant it thrusts them into a world of magic, wonder and to their surprise, supernatural danger living next to our own. And they discover there are still Fairy Godmothers in the world as well as why Fairy Tales aren't wish fulfillment stories, but warnings...

If you can't donate, please don't feel bad, prayers and well wishes are always welcome! I'm in this fight to win and I can't do it without you guys.
