Hello!

Would anyone happen to know the title of a story where the MC is on a vacation that 'he' won to the US, possibly new york. The MC was originally from Australia or New Zealand. They're spotted by another character who wants to hire them as a model. This second character over the course of the story ends up being revealed as not human, but adamantly refuses to be considered an alien by the MC. From what I remember she has pale skin, a tail, and fangs... possibly more but I'm forgetting. There's a transformation element to the story, but that's about as much as I concretely remember.

Sections of this story have become stuck in my head recently and I would love to re-find it to read it through again, but I've not had any luck for the last few days.
