While doing the wash, my wife picked up my new bra and grumped that I had nicer bras than she did. It was my first underwire style and closed in the front, an experiment for me. (The experiment has been a success.) She said she wouldn't mind one in that color for herself. So what could I do besides log into Amazon and get her one in black and one in rose?

Threading the Maze of Women's Sizes
The only standard to women's sizes is there is none. In women's sizes only shoes might be close to something akin to a recognizable standard. A size eight might be a size eight. In clothing there is no standard each manufacture follows. For bras it is worse. I'm surprised anyone can mail order a bra and have it fit. The chance of winning the lottery would be better odds.

Sizing
I've bought and returned a crazy amount of bras for my wife. The sizing ranges we've bought for her are crazy, anything from a C to a DDD depending on brand and even the same brand one style to the next she'll need a different cup size sometimes. We've given up and make sure there's always a good return policy so it's easy to upsize or downsize. The only mostly consistent measurement has been the band size.
