A short rant.
I published a story that had plenty of Trans content, but also Female Domination, Bondage, BDSM, Slavery the whole 9 Fetish yards really. It had the caution warnings, then had more added because apparently people ignore the content warnings and read anyway.
It got comments of the ewww and not for here, and can you not write sweet gentle stories like wot we want?
I take it they mean sweet, gentle stories with rape, forced fem, non conscenual violence, dubious aged characters et al. (all of which exist on the site without these keepers of the sites sanctity having said a word in the comments.)
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against these tyoes of stories, properly marked and with the correct context, fantasy and stories are an outlet and a release, but also a place to explore edges.
The world of being Trans is quite bad enough at the moment, with the evangelical Christian Right coming here to censor what is written as well.
If the Admins have any problem with my writing, that is a different thing, they ARE the keepers of the sites values, not a couple of random pearl clutching Trumpians.
Yes I feel strongly about this.
Rant over.
You don't like adult themes, Don't read my writings.
You don't like my style, Don't read my writings.
You don't like things that might be different, Don't read my writings.
But don't tell me to write for your tastes either.

Content Warnings.
On the one hand, I would say that there are loads of stories with similar content to what you describe over on Fictionmania. Perhaps you could post those there if you have not already done so.
On the other hand, if your story clearly has relevant warnings in the header, it seems a bit silly reading those stories and then complaining about the content!
Personally (and no offence intended), I don’t like stories that involve domination, cruelty, sissification, chastity belts etc etc etc, so if the warnings are there I almost certainly won’t read them. If I did happen to read one, I certainly wouldn’t complain about it if a warning had been given at the start!
One of the keys to all my
One of the keys to all my stories is that all parties consent....
There is no Forced involved.
It was the, nice writer, pity not more to my taste as yuck, why did they read far enough to find that out. Warnings were there.

Happy Stories!
I think I am probably a bit like some of your readers who have complained about the stories not being to their taste, as I tend to prefer happier stories, in which I can picture myself as one of the characters. I certainly have no interest in stories where a character is forced. If somebody tried to force me to do something against my will I would do all I could to make sure it didn’t end well for them.
That said, if all the characters are consenting and happy to take part in whatever activity is going on, I would have no problem with it. And I certainly wouldn’t complain if the warnings were there!
Cautions
Clearly marked and easily understood. If I read a Caution that includes things I really do not like and yet continue? Like walking into Ristorante La Festa in Cucina and complaining that they a) don't offer Chicken Lo Mein; or b) are completely disappointed that they DO serve Chicken Alfredo.

My parents were offended that I liked Alfredo sauce
Really. With them it was marinara sauce or nothing.
Maybe some pesto if they were really feeling adventurous.
Maybe it was a South Italy/North Italy thing, but OUR family didn't
eat dishes so suspiciously creamy that they might secretly be French.
Again, really! It really upset them that I could enjoy something they didn't.
And then I knew, if they're this judgemental in matters of food preference
there was absolute zero chance of them accepting me as the girl I am...
Especially with how my mom (the nice one) went full head spinning around
psycho when I just hinted that I might be slightly bisexual back at the dawn
of the gay-rights thing. So I try not to be like that about what other people
like and don't like. If you enjoy stories where people get tied up + forced
to eat coq a vin (ewww, DISGUSTING!!) I don't get it at all, but here's
the thing: I DON'T HAVE TO GET IT. It's none of my damn business.
And I don't think folks posting stories like that here will ruin this site.
It's also not my business to be a gatekeeper + keep the riffraff out.

I'm not a fan
I don't care for the kind of story you describe and so wouldn't read it if I saw it on the front page. But I get where you're coming from. If you don't like spicy food, don't eat at the Tex/Mex restaurant down the street. And if you are dumb enough to eat there, and you order a dish that the menu clearly states that a dish is spicy with the word "caliente' and an icon of a hot pepper don't complain that it's spicy.

This is a site for ALL TG fiction
If the headers have the appropriate warnings, then the author has done what they are supposed to do. It's not their fault if someone continues to read it.
You don't have to like everything or anything posted here. Doesn't mean the story doesn't have a home here. We don't censor authors here.
Just don't read it. Or if you started and don't like a story, stop reading and pick something else.
There is no single kind of story that is a BC story..
If someone were to post some kind of SPAM story the admins would remove it and take any other further action if needed.

Write What You're Good At
And damn the torpedoes.
If your stories were nasty (in the sense that they offended EVERYBODY) then our gatekeepers would deal with them. They're not, so here is a site on which you are welcome.
Please keep posting here. As long as you warn potential readers they have no right to complain.
The Nightingale
I’m late to this discussion and have nothing original to add to what has been said. But Ben Franklin’s admonition about hanging together lest we all hang separately comes to mind. Also, Jill Rasch published a very short allegory on this subject some years ago that is worth a re-read. https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/38904/where-will-next...
Back to you, traveler from the far isle of Iffish. :)

On kink
There is an element here who aren’t content to skip stories that they don’t like, but would like to see them gone. Maybe that’s the unique selling proposition for BC; I don’t know. Personally, I think “stories about this or that are unsuitable” is a very slippery slope.
I recall when we lost the TG fiction wiki to an enthusiastic, extraordinarily active subset of participants who wanted to make a wiki about comic book characters. At that time, I was told that it’s the nature of things: users get the resource they want.
If so, the same holds true with stories and readership. Maryanne recently listed stats for a story that appeared on here, on Fictionmania and on Literotica. The sites that embrace kink yielded a lot more views (around 10x each, if I recall?) compared to here. This idea that BC ought to be a repository for nice stories is a tricky needle to thread at a time when people are also lamenting the declining readership.
Funny that you should mention Trumpians. Some recent research showed Google search stats suggesting that red state conservatives are the biggest, kinkiest porn hounds. (And good luck to ’em... I don’t mind the kink, but the hypocrisy is something we can do without.)
Sex is fun. It’s normal! Have some.

I'm very kinky
Sometimes I let it show.
I used to think that sex
I used to think that sex stories didn't do well on this site. When I looked at my stats I was surprised.
Seven Years as a Wife
Bigcloset 7,399 reads and 181 Kudos
Fictionmania 13209 reads
Literotica 93,400 reads 4.65/5
The thing is, it is a blackmail sex story, although later parts trans elements creep in.
My story with the most reads is "Sissy Wife, Sissy Life" 8744 reads. Only 89 Kudos though.
So there is a "market" on this site for sex, sissy, and femdom etc. I personally have grown to dislike the term sissy as it seems to denigrate emulating female appearance. I don't feel that way when I have the privilege to present as a woman. I won't run down anyone that enjoys it though.
I did go through a phase of using trigger words in titles to see if reads increased.
