Others may know-how better ...
Not exactly a delete (of a comment on a story), but ...
We can edit the second comment down to "Oops. Duplicate Comment" or similar.
That gets the second pretty one much '"out of the way". And if both are long comments ... Cuts down on people reading 2 paragraphs in to the duplicate and saying "Hey wait! Well, this is annoying ..."

Also, if a single comment is 'regrettable', we can do similar, cutting it down an 'Oops' or an apology.
