I'm a fan of F1nn5ter too
I've been following F1nn5ter for quite a while now. It has been fascinating to watch his evolvement from a fairly typical British late teen male, naïve and not particularly well educated to where he is now. Quite accidentally, in the process of creating content for his Twitch channel, he has created a safe place for trans folk and queer people and become a staunch ally. Despite being a Cis, straight guy, his baby-faced good looks allow him to present quite successfully as a young woman. He refers to the changes that dressing feminine have made in his brain and admits to thoroughly enjoying his nails and lack of body hair. His audience (3 to 5 thousand per stream) have a running joke that he is not as cis and straight as he claims and taunts him with egg emojis when they catch him liking something feminine. He responds by flexing his biceps and declaring himself the most manly man of all time. Many of his followers have come out to family and friends as a result of his example.
F1nn5ter continues to inspire
My current project, ‘Gamer Girl’, is about a boy who presents as female in an online environment. I’m working in collaboration with another writer and she recommended that I should have a look at F1nn5ter. Lots of fun!
I see it as a good sign that upcoming generations (in the West, anyway) are secure enough in themselves that they aren’t going to suffer through the stigma, self-doubt and ignorance of their forebears.

Wanna Bet?
Hatred and bigotry towards the LGBTQ+ spectrum is still very prevalent among all ages here in the US. Surprisingly I've noticed a marked amount of hatred coming from blacks and Hispanics. I've lost a lot of respect for some racial minorities as a result. Classic cases of do as I say, not as I do.
Then there is the standard display of intolerance by WASPs and the ever present 'Good Ol' Boys', lots of Trump supporters as you might imagine.
So no, not a lot of improvement. I wish the coming generations all the best. They're gonna need thick skins to survive.

I’ll take that bet
Honestly, the young people I speak to seem to take it all in stride. Gay, non-binary, transgender... they just have friends, and some of those friends present differently. On the one hand, I’m a little envious because I grew up in a time and place where things could become unpleasant if you showed yourself to be different... but when I see unconscious acceptance it makes me smile. Not the enforced political correctness of the radical left, but the indifference to conformity and nonconformity.
Haven’t you wondered why our community is ageing out and there are so few teens and twenty-somethings in the TG fiction sphere? It’s because they don’t need the fantasy: they have the real freedom. Not everywhere, of course, but it’s certainly becoming the norm in the liberal West. The moral panic of the conservatives is their own problem. I remember when playing Dungeons and Dragons was going to make us all satanists; when killer bee swarms were going to make swathes of the south uninhabitable; when communists (or perhaps homosexuals) were going to wreck our way of life. It’s all clickbait: the upcoming generation are actually very cool.

Life Imitates Art
I wrote a story about this!
The story was "Vlogger" posted April 29 2020
My guy had an Irish name to, but not Finn

Will he end up like my heroine?
Weird!
Maryanne
Finn
Isn’t actually his/her name, it’s just an online gaming identity. If I remember, his name is Ian and her name is Rose.
The whole point of my post was the £50k pot of cash to be used for TG good causes.
