I ask a polite, genuine question before I make a donation and you delete my post !
It is little wonder you end up begging every month when you behave like that.
But thank you, I would have been the one feeling like a real cunt if I hadn’t waited for an answer before donating.

This is not the first time this has come up
One has to keep in mind this is a professionally run site really with actual web hosting requiring an IT professional to maintain and configure and deploy etc. And bandwidth.
There is always a lack of money because Erin is not demanding of access by paywalling the site and keeping it open to all.
Time is spent moderating the site.
Complicating the issue of cash support is that the audience for this site tends to be older and there is a lot less spare cash to be had.
She does not sell user information and the advertising is very limited.
With inflation and such 6000 is not an unreasonable amount anymore.
Any and all financial support from a wider user base is essential and most welcome.
As far as the whole monthly money requests go, it is as old as this site.
You can probably go as far back as you want on internet archive and see that it is an ongoing unfair burden on Erin to have to support this.
While not rude, I would hardly call what you asked polite.
The staff here have been open in the past about where money goes, and regularly give information on why they need to ask for more when they do.
You made a point of questioning what the site's operators do with any money it receives. You received multiple comments -- including from the site owner herself -- providing that information.

I Agree
If you're being considerate and respectful it doesn't include questioning transparency.
Erin has many times fully outlined expenses. You may have missed those. What you couldn't have possibly missed is the amount of effort and care Erin and Piper bring to the admin of this site.
Questioning this site's needs is not helpful.
Erin can't operate this site without adequate donations. Her sources of revenue are limited.

I did not
I did not remove your post. In fact, I, and another person, spent some time answering you. I have found the first blog and restored it, along with the answers that had been posted. It had only been unpublished, not deleted.

Many of us do what we can
in terms of financial support for this site. It is IMHO, part of the BCTS community.
The overwhelming majority of us also allow comments and personal messages to our stories and blog entries.
I for one, welcome all comments good or bad. Over more than 11 years of posting, I have found very, very few to be unconstructive.

You're Absolutely Right
This site only works if everyone does their part: reading, commenting, writing, etc.
Your comments have been important to me.

Some people see this site as a community, some don't...
Some just want to dump their stories here and fraternize as little as possible, and don't see any value in getting feedback about their writing. And that's fine. You can't force someone to be your pal, we're not some cult demanding everyone think and feel and interact the same way or to the same degree, and the more stories here the better. But the disengenuous "thank you" in the blog's heading sounds to me like there's an implicit "thank you for revealing your true nature" to it, and the particular wording of saying (I can't see the original blog from here so I'll have to paraphrase) "If I had donated before getting an answer I would be the one feeling like a cunt..." sounds like an underhanded way of saying someone else should feel like a cunt, or is a cunt, or possibly a whole site full of cunts.
Which reminds me of a cute joke my pastor shared from the pulpit this morning:
What did one tampon say to the other tampon?
Nothing... They were both stuck up cunts!

Polite??
The most generous interpretation of your comment/blog that I could make would be "brusque". Perhaps there are other, harsher, verdicts.
I suggest that you definitely need some education in what constitutes politeness.
Erin and her assistants pour their hearts into maintaining this site. Personally, I think they strive to do too much but that's what they do and for the benefit of the users, including you. You get a free platform for your stories, feedback and storage. You also get the opportunity to sample the works of other authors if you so wish.
Surely that's worth a small monetary "thanks" if you can afford it.
