Good news everyone...

Hypatia's Garden will be opened soon. That virtual garden will be the forum and place for discussing philosophical matters. Unfortunately I can't say it has been opened already, as we're currently organising moving all services which includes www.Tor-der-Traeume.de too to a more powerful, less power consuming and a little cheaper machine at our provider along with doing a complete software update.

So please stay tuned, after a short downtime we will open that forum soon.

btw, if anyone has any suggestions or wishes for the forum software, now would be a good time to pm me.

I was thinking more of Hypatia, the Brainship in Anne McCaffery's novel - "The Ship Who Searched". Of course that Hypatia was named after Hypatia of Alexandria, a noted woman scholar in the late 300s, early 400s AD. She was killed by a "Christian" mob for her pagan beliefs.

But you knew that, of course. ;-)

Actually, KJT I think you are on the right track. At least I think the site is named after Hypatia of Alexandria directly. I seem to remember a brainstorming session @ GabyZone chat dealing with female figures from Greek history...

... has been choosen as saint patron for that site. We, that's me and my friends at Gabyzone IRC channel, think, she stood for most of the things, we believe to offer this site to the community for. When you follow the link in Piper's comment, you will get the idea.
