I have been struck. Fortunately on one (only) of my laptops, and fortunately the desktop I am using is OK.
I use Chrome for BCTS on all my 3 computers, and the older laptop is now popping up an unhelpful screen saying I've been blocked. This happens when I try to refresh any of the BCTS tabs in any of the Chrome windows, with the unhelpful message advising me to email the site owner (you) quoting an error code which is 7036fa088ae57549.
I am doing this through a blog since I cannot find any (conventional) email address for you, and reading other blogs, I have found there is usually a response from Erin or Piper. I cannot carry my desktop computer to anywhere st home, and like to peruse BCTS from my armchair
Any advice?

On my desktop,I was allowed to create and send that blog from within Chrome. Then I refreshed the opening tab, and confirmed that the blog was up there, went back to the story, but when I clicked on the link to load its next part, got the same Cloudfare message except the ID was 70373cd6fb367478
This update is being accessed through Firefox, which rules out the thought that the IP address had been what was triggering it, so is it an incompatibility in my recently upgraded Chrome (which incidentally I use as a free browser, avoiding all its encouragements to sign on to Google)

The same thing happened to me. I hoped that whatever caused it was temporary and so far that seems to be the case, but if there's more information on this I would love to hear it.

I'd say no more Chrome
I have an aversion to all things Google. The only Google product I use is Maps. And then only because I'm too lazy to seek out an alternative for my android phone. I use Firefox for my browser.
I don't trust Google not to data mine everything I do. I don't mind Google know what parts of world I want to know about (I often use Maps to get a sense of the geography of a story set in a particular local I'm not familiar with) and I only use Maps on my phone when I need to go someplace I've never been to before.
But to have Google have access to every site I visit and every search I do on those sites... not on your life. I use Duckduckgo for my search engine. It gives as good a response as Google and they don't feed my searches to the advertisers so that I see ads for products I've already purchased.
The only trouble I've had with Firefox is that Kaiser, (my Advantage + provider) has opted to get in bed with Google and their video doctor visit only works with Chrome or Safari. It used to work with Firefox, but I can't help but think that Google made a deal with them and they get some kind of kickback for writing browser specific software. That does make me nervous because we're talking my medical information. The only hope is that since I don't make any keystrokes during the video visit that they aren't monitoring the voice communication. But they do have the opertunity to mine my user name and password into the site.

Install the Chromium browser.
Install the Chromium browser. It's built from the same source code Google uses, but it doesn't integrate anything by default other than the search engine. You can switch that out, of course.
I use Chromium on my laptop so I have a second "chrome" to use for testing things without being cross-linked by the browser.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
Better than Chrome
I can recommend the Avast browser. It’s Chrome based but without the data mining / spy ware. It also works far better on eBay than Firefox since eBay has succumbed to Google's "encouragement" to be only Chrome friendly.

That's simply Chromium that's been stamped with Avast's logo. I won't have anything to do with Avast/AVG since they bloated their software to be as aggressively stupid and resource intensive as Symantec and McAfee.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
Clear your browser cache
That you can get on site and send this blog shows that you are looking at a stale page when you see the error message.
Piper is working on the security problem and should have a permanent fix soon.

I have an o-l-d Samsung tablet that I use for reading in bed, the only browser that works on it anymore is Chrome. But I couldn't find the browser cache to save my life! I'm sure it goes without saying that the Help section told me nothing. Now I know!!
