Was reading a book awhile back about a guy that is mistaken as a girl while taking a exam for the school to choose 2 boys and 2 girls to go to a exclusive school, he is emancipated and a singer who sings disguised as a girl, he meets a girl and ends up transitioning

By Catherine Boudreau - there are two books, The Other Side and The Darker Side. It is a great series, and I am anxiously awaiting the next book.
