Isn't there a limit on the number of stories a author can have on the front page at any given time? Right now a single writer is occupying roughly 75% of the front page. Can we get a refresher post on the rules, then a cleanup of the front page?

Make that like
Maybe 40%. It just seems like more.

If they are different stories...
I don't think there is a limit, that I know of. But if it's a serial, only the most recent should be up.
Rules....

I asked about that a couple
I asked about that a couple of weeks ago as I was planning on having 3 chapters from different stories come out on Saturdays. (didn't work out, but still...) If they're from the same serial there is a limit, but if they're different stories, there isn't any.

We Aint Got No, algorithm....
IF you post multiple stories, we generally ask you to keep it to less than five.
Depends
If we have a slow time posting, I might allow as many as seven stories/chapters appearing on the front page (meaning scrolling down to the end). If posting were hot and heavy, I might allow as few as four with stretch if more than one of them is a solo.
Currently, no one has more than five or six. One person posted five at once, which is probabaly what you're talking about. I'd prefer that people not post more than three at once, it comes across as a little unfriendly.
But seriously, you're complaining that someone posted free stories? :) Also, there have been 8 posts after the five, so they have already moved down the page. And no one is occupying more than about 10% of the front page in my definition.

Did you see me
Complain? I thought I might be misunderstanding what the rule was, and asked what it was. I also asked that if it wasn't already posted in an easy to find spot that you consider doing so.
At no time did I ask that stories not be allowed to be posted. I mentioned no author, nor did I suggest currently posted stories be removed. I know this is your website so I asked what your rule was. I didn't even attempt to suggest what the rule should be. I only asked what the rule was, I was seeking a clarification. If you choose to take that as a complaint, then I have no power to change that.
That's why the laws are freely available to all. How would you like it if you were cited for breaking a law that was hidden from you? I can't follow the law, or your rules, if I don't know what they are.

Yes
I did take it as a complaint because of your hyperbole. I take your second post as a complaint also. :)
Since I change the limit of how many stories are allowed on the front page in a week depending on how many stories total are being posted, I don't make this a posted rule. And since I enforce this by unsticking the oldest stories, no one really needs to know it but me. I don't want to discourage posting. If someone posts eight stories in a week, and that happens frequently, I just unstick the two oldest from the front page.
It's a rule for me, not for the posters.
