A big thank you to the readers of Wild Irish Rose and the the anthology "One Dozen Roses", it means a lot to me and the writers of the anthology.

I was given the prompt for Wild Irish Rose by Patricia Marie Allen, so I wish to thank her for that.

I started writing it from the middle, when she takes her shoes off and wails on Erin's assailants

Since I always write to music tracks, this one is is no different, but the tracks are not referenced. Both WIR and Rose Gold were written to the following songs:

"Rose March" by 7even (at 3:00 of the track is when she runs--in slow motion--jumps, and then stabs one of them...you will be able to tell when the hell hits his back)
"Rose" (from the Titanic score)
"Paper Rosie" (for calm ambiance)

I just threw out the idea.

As we were putting "One Dozen Roses" together we were all deeply involved in writing stories as well as all the other things we each had going. I had taken on the task of formatting and organizing the different stories. It was late in the game when I realized we were one story short of having a dozen. One of the challenges was to get a title for each story that reflected the theme, a dozen Roses telling their story. I mused a bit over such a title for the missing story. The title, "Wild Irish Rose" came to me. Then in a flash, my muse filled in the backstory for a "Wild Irish Rose" but nothing for the actual story. Not that I'd really have had time to write another story at that point.

So in our group PM we were using to keep each other informed and encouraged, I posted the title and backstory and told the others that if anyone wanted to pick up and run with it, they should grab it. Aylesea rose to the challenge. Not only did she run with it, she scored big time.

"Wild Irish Rose" turned out to be a powerful story well beyond anything I could have manage from the idea. So, Aylesea, it's I who thank you for stepping up to complete our efforts on ODR and doing so masterfully.

Hugs
Patricia
