Gone, but not forgotten, yet?
There are a few websites that have ceased to function in my Bookmarks, my question is, are they gone permanently?

Sapphire's Place
Stardust
I Know, I Know, but... (Joy Phillip's site)
Just wondering if I should delete them, so if anyone can confirm they are officially history, it would be appreciated.

sapphireplace.com ist apparently pending deletion, so that site seems to be gone for good
A while ago at least you could find quite a bit of it in the Internet Archive, with a bit of work one can patch together a copy of about 178MB, so it is not all lost yet.
Entropy
Theoretical physicists have put forward the interesting notion that time is actually created by gravity. I'm not sure I even know what that means. I do know that the passage of time has brought us many events of monumental gravity.
Using the search feature of this site leads to some clues for each of the sites you list but noting that seems especially conclusive.

Stardust
Stardust is pending resurrection. We still have all the old content, including a several stories that never made it to BC. It's just getting time and resources to do it.
We've also offered to rescue Sapphire's Place but not heard back.

The view from the Balcony...
I pretty much ceased active managing of Beverly's Balcony almost 10 yrs ago now but then my memory isn't what it was so that may be off by a year or two. I accepted the generous offer from Erin & Co. to host the site for a time but I let the domain properties lapse a few years ago now so as far as I know it only exists in some form, outside of my software backups, via Wayback or other internet archives. My apologies to those who enjoyed the Balcony's services years ago but time, interest and finances as well as catching up with learning the necessary software nowadays has prevented me from resurrecting the site.
