While writing some of my stories, I've imagined them in the same universe, and had a general idea of where those stories took place, but never really organized everything until now. All of these stories are set in the South-Jersey-Verse. Below is a picture of the area, with imaginary city names based on the names of cities in the "real" world. Below that is a list of the cities, and the stories set in those locations.

Born in Morristown (same hospital as Linda Hunt) Grew up in Lake Hiawatha, I met Mrs. D at a church in Morris Township. I now live in Somerville. Years ago I attended Stockton and lived in Absecon Highlands where I pumped gas at a Mobil station.
We're the only state whose name is featured as an afterthought on our state university logo. And we are only one of two states which does not permit self-serve at filling stations. We are NOT Jersey Shore and nearly none of our Italian-Americans know a 'soprano' although my former barber was a frequent extra on the show.
Big Pharma practically resides in Middlesex and Somerset Counties.
Many of our 'Real Wives' are now single parents and some of them are wives to other women. There have been days when I really don't like my state, but I love it and, to paraphrase Eric Liddell in Chariot of Fire, "I will forever be a Jersey Girl!"
Love, Andrea Lena
Hey Jersey girls!
Even though I'm living in California now, I grew up in New Jersey, and that's where my heart will always be. I think that's why I imagine so many of my stories happening there. Glad to know there's some other Jersey girls here in the Big Closet! :D
