I just wanted to let people know that I haven't abandoned the site, nor the next chapter of The Other Side of Me. I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and returned home with a bit of depression and a huge pile of Impostor Syndrome. I promise that the next chapter will be out soon, it's already half written. I just needed the extra time to find my voice and get the words flowing again.
Sorry for making anyone waiting on it.

You need to get yourself
You need to get yourself feeling good again. Don't worry about me or anyone else on the site. You come first. I'm praying for you. hugs!

Imposter? Impossible! You seem real enough to me
I've been missing your stories, new installments of OTHER SIDE OF ME, but missing your presence here BCTS even more. Glad it was a vacation + not the coronavirus or swallowed up by an interdimensional vortex. I think a lot of us suffer from a bit of Imposter Syndrome from time to time. We can be so self-critical. Mine manifests as: "What business do I have writing about people and relationships when my whole life has been a weird blank in that department?" But then friends here tell me that something about this or that story of mine moved them emotionally, so apparently this little replicant at least has a theoretical understanding of what it is to be human.
And speaking of replicants, when you said Imposter Syndrome at first I thought you meant Imposter Delusion, where someone is convinced that coworkers or family members have been replaced by robots or alien pod people for some nefarious reason. Which like any other type of paranoid schizophrenia is probably more entertaining to read about in fiction than to actually suffer from. ~anyway hugs and welcome back, if it really is you. Veronica
