Like so many that are lucky enough to remain working in these unusual times, I have been slated to home for the past two weeks.
All the buildings are locked down, no admittance except for key personnel, which was easily done as we use swipe card entrances.
Being IT, I'm considered one of those key personnel but have a VPN and can get to anything I need on our network through it so I'm thinking like most in this position, do my work in my pajamas from home! What is even more cool is maybe I'll have more time for writing and get some of my unfinished stories caught up. At the very least I won't be as tired after work and can write then.
This worked for the first 2 days, and I can honestly say I spent more time in my office last week than I have in over a year! It's true as normally I'm not in the office much as I'm out at the various buildings putting out fires, soothing ruffled feathers and playing miracle worker for the computer challenged.
The funny thing is next week looks like it is going to be a repeat of last week. So much for working from home.

Jammies?
Some girls do wear jammies for get togethers, slumber parties, and camping expeditions. Lots of comradely before sleeping requires them. Only truly never been camping girls would wear a nightgown in a pup tent. On the other hand only girls who are Tomboys would wear jammies unless it was below zero in the house.
Are they silk or satin? Don't be shy. Trust me, the guys on this channel are more interested than the females.
Computer Tech? Pulleeze..., Next you'll try to convince us you're like Dr. Christmas in the Bond movie. Home bound? Was that a VIP card MI6 Black Ops is passing out? "I'm important personnel and allowed to travel under all circumstances? I guess spies and world intrigue of blackmail and backstabbing never stops? You probably already spent time in most of the Chinese Embassies in the free world. Probably the communist world too.
Been informed by several in the know this isn't a normal flu like I thought it was. Anti bacteria, virus drugs aren't working. Only those that work against microbes are doing the trick. Such as the one that works against malaria. Which government lab put this monster together and did it escape accidentally or was there a plan?

Last Friday when I went in to the office (since there is no dress code in effect) I wore a red tee shirt with "EXPENDABLE" written in large black letters across the front of the shirt in typical Star Trek font.

Working from home
has its benefits for us who are deep in the closet. For days on end, I could dress as I pleased, wear makeup and everything. but there is a risk.
Only once did I nearly get caught out when there was a sudden panic on a site in Brazil and the customer demanded a Skype call.
I logged in via the VPN and sorted the issue and then headed for the shower as I was in full war-paint.
Everyone was waiting for me on the call. I sat down wearing only some knickers and a mans shirt with wet hair. I told everyone that the problem was sorted and why there was a problem in the first place. The reason for the call had gone and it soon fizzled out.
With more and more business done by video call, we have to be careful or we may get outed accidentally.

Figured Nuuan would slip up and correct me it was the NASA Security Black Operations she worked for instead of MI6. Didn't expect to catch a slip up from one of the real MI6 operatives, or possibly even a darker we don't exist government operative. Samantha tossed in her oblique attempt at masquerading Nuuan's sad job explanation by exposing herself. I figured Sam and Bru worked on the same kind of super secret spy stuff. Bru working for any government or anyone with enough money to hire her skills. Sam working for the British Government. Nuuan works for the U.S. Gov using her talent as a singer, player to go all over the world on road shows. Truly suspicious when she's in Dallas at a concert and suddenly goes to Romania for a benefit performance.
Now I learn Sam uses computer engineer, programmer as an excuse to travel all over the world. What better way to learn all the secrets of another government than to work on their systems? Doesn't even have to be their high tech servers but backdoor into them from within their own systems. Spying gone high tech for sure.

Although a group if us from my church was once mistaken for government agents at this big conference hall. They really should not have printed the first letter of our organization's name in such big letter on those ID cards. It was an easy mistake to make, seeing the following at first glance;

Today was a nice day for a change here and spent most of it on the front porch. The little one wasn't interested in playing anything but her violin, so I didn't have to share my mandolin today. Usually she's all about grabbing it and playing, especially if I pick up the 4 or the 5 string banjo and start playing.
