First and foremost I wish to apologize to everyone on this site for spamming the blog links. I wish there was another place to post where most would see it. But if most are like me, they never wander past the Home Page.
Okay, I thought this was appropriate because of the readers on this site may be interested in what has been accomplished even if they weren't born in Colorado.
Colorado Allows Transgender Residents ‘New’ Birth Certificate, No Surgery Required

As for my personal self, I am still actively pushing for recognition from the VA and NOT receiving any answers. I don't need their approval but if I succeed it should make it easier for those who follow. With 'more than' forty years of medical records, pictures, continuous name usage, etc. etc. if I can't push them off center who can? The 'funny thing' is the letter of approval and scheduled SRS and absolutely no one, not one medical personnel including any of the doctors knew what SRS was before I explained it to them. That along with the research on the brain matrix difference between male and female.

It seems we who have been involved in this boy-girl mix master for as long as I have still have to learn the majority of people out there really have no clue. They see or hear the news, read a story but it is never more than someone had their penis removed or had her breasts removed and are now claiming something but they aren't sure what that something is. Like the VA they hope we will go away?

It's your life no matter what you chose even if you decide to do something that goes against the grain of society's definition of male or female. Believe in yourself because if you don't, very few others won't either. You can count on me and a bunch of others believing in you if that counts.
Stay safe, always alert. Take the Seals motto to heart. Always expect the unexpected.

Barb, yes it is great what

Barb, yes it is great what Colorado did with Jude's Law. Named for the young transgender girl. She hopes to get such a law passed nation wide.

I applaud her for her courage to keep pushing for this law to enacted.

A great desire

but with 'old comb over' still in DC and possibly until 2025 there is little hope of anything like that. If anything he'll do anything he can to get it reversed. His record of anti-LGBT moves speak for themselves.

I wish everyone fighting the system for legal recognition of their status all the best of luck.

Will it do much good?

I was born in California, but my own experience has been that even a change in Birth Certificate may not change Military or Social Security records. Medicare is not cooperative either. It never seems to end does it?

I'm not very secretive about all that because there are metabolic differences between males and females. I've done what I could.

The VA

As far as I know and I have asked because I use the VA too. SRS probably will never be done by them or even referred out because, they see it as elective surgery. I have had no problems with them as far as anything else, HRT, psychological support I even get the right pronouns every time I go. However, I have heard that this varies from hospital to hospital even though they have a strong acceptance poli
cy. But talking to my psychologist she has pretty much told me the SRS would have to be on my own dime. Good luck with the fight though, However, Medicare as far as I know will cover it ( I don't think that has changed).
