Thank you for your concern

Hi there,

yes, I have moved. Yes I have had a few hospital and doctor's visits, the most serious having been an Endarterectomy. I lost 18 pounds as well, due to a bout of food-poisoning which kept me near a WC for nearly 10 days.

But I have also been working here, mostly behind the scenes. The Anmarian Appendices are up to date (in fact the Index is in advance of everything you have seen posted, story-wise) The entry level menu for them all can be found here:
http://www.bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book-page/59163/anmarian-a...

I have no less than five Julina chapters ready but I need to run each and every one past Penny to make sure I have not imputed character strengths and faults to HER characters and thus undermine that which she has so painstakingly (and brilliantly) built.

You must remember that the current Julina timeline is running a few months ahead of the Milsy and the Visund threads and so I have reached a point in one of my chapters where some of Penny's characters are involved - BUT I CAN'T MENTION IT YET, as that would spoil a reveal that Penny is soon going to 'spring'.

Penny herself has been delayed by some RL-related stuff so we have had delays backing up on delays.

If you REALLY insist, I could post a chapter or two, but they would be of necessity shorter than normal and might thus create just a little more confusion and/or disjointedness.

Meanwhile, on the RL front, we have had some several visitors from Switzerland who wanted to check out our new house, and we ourselves have had some trips away (Thanksgiving in Minneapolis, returns to Bern in December and January, wine buying in Burgundy, etc. etc.) --- Tee hee, this last was arranged weeks ago for the last weekend before Brexit so we could maximise the amount we could legally import before the Customs Rules changed. Brexit has of course now been delayed ....

In May, Di and I jet off for some needed beach-time, neither of us having yet had a beach holiday this Millennium. (Or maybe, actually thinking more closely, since 2004)

Then in June I have the ... pleasure - yes, I'm sure that's the word (*grins*) - of Di's sister arriving from the USA for a short trip (OMG, SIX weeks of those two talking non-stop!!!!!) round France, Switzerland and other places all around - (Normandy, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne in France, adding in places in Italy, Germany and Luxembourg. Maybe Belgium too.)

So that's the latest heads-up.

Thanks again for your concerns.

Joolz.

Droolz from Joolz!

I am so sorry about the further health issues but look forward so much to the new chapters, you are the greatest.

I have the patience to wait.

Ouch!

I'm pleased to hear that you are still plugging along, although, perhaps 'plugging' isn't the word I should be using.

Yes, I know I'm behind at the moment, but Real Life has this annoying habit of ignoring plans. There is so much to do here I am in that state where it is difficult to get started on something because it will delay something else...only this time, a lot has to be done and the months are streaming past.

What is there? A new drive, twice the width of the old one, replace the back fence, trim some mature trees that overhang the back garden, replace hall/stairs/landing carpet, replace flooring in bathroom, have entire kitchen gutted and rebuilt, decorate everything in sight, oh, and help clear out house which belonged to deceased parents before it can be sold. (There is, of course, nowhere to put anything.)

Ah, there's also the new central heating boiler which is still playing up...

So, what else is new? I'm still writing and hope to have another VotV out by the end of next week - just before the grand-daughters turn up again to cause chaos. Life, eh? Still, my problems are relatively minor compared to some who venture to this site.

BEER and CURRY

I have had the pleasure of both on occasions with Julia, whose new abode is not a million miles from mine. I am hoping for more excursions in future, but her forays out my way keep coinciding with my travels elsewhere for work!

like being on the planet Zog up here - everyone seems to live in warmer climes some hours south of here!

btw, beer and curry - what's not to like?

Beer, curry...

...and pubs with riverside seating, pubs with brews from Surrey Hills, pubs sitting on the Sussex Border cycle way... and excellent company in Julia!
