In this YA story, High School Juniors, Jordan and his best friend Rose have been friends since childhood. Rose has a crush on Jordan yet he seems oblivious. Along with friends, they form a band for a talent contest. A follow-up concert at a charity event may provide an opportunity to publish their songs and sell them on the internet. This story explores romance, young love, and family interactions as our protagonists learn family secrets in their search for success in their music and their personal lives.

Jordan is introduced to dressing in girl's clothing gradually as the story progresses.

I want to thank WillowD for her help in editing this story.

I enjoyed it very much.

It has the usual great plot elements, a finely meshed plot.

Sometimes I wish I could visualize these characters better.

I wonder if Lee, from the Cheerleader books, looks like Veronica Mars?

Anyway, I can't wait for the next book.

It is a good book

But is probably suffering because many readers were hoping the next book would be another Lee Corcoran book and look past it.
Wildcat fans should enjoy it as would fans of Clara's Dusty Rose.

Oh My Goodness

You did not leave it there!? While I was hoping to find another installment of the Lee Corcoran series, or perhaps Kappa Delta (That ones really due a follow up) I enjoyed reading every word of this new series Tutus. I have to wonder though how the kids did not figure out who Mom, Aunt Re Re and Taye are... and if they are going to go longer to figure out Krista may not be seen or heard from, but is providing them guidance along the way.

However, the way this book ended, I think i'm looking forward to book two a bit more than I am Kappa Delta, but not quite as much as the next Lee Corcoran book. It's great writing that keeps the reader right there in the scenes.

I loved the novel! I thought

I loved the novel! I thought there were several great things hinted at (but not spelled out--I like that). Namely, the undercurrent that the new group is somehow mirroring the history of the original Tutus; but with subtle variations. I am hoping that the complex things hidden inside Jordan's personality make-up are brought out and that he gets help with his fear of abandonment. I would also think that the stresses of music-group stardom would exacerbate those problems without conscious support from Rose and the other members of the group.

And--of course--I am waiting (breathlessly) for Book 2 of this new series.
