I'm having a blockage with my new series "Interesting Times" so I thought I would bring out this little snippet to get something posted. Oh yes, I will also have a new chapter of "A Second Chance" done before the middle of the month: Dawn.
Obeying the Law
Lianne Cowper headed back into the North Carolina Statehouse along with her aide, Kerri Stanger. They had just returned from a broadcast at the Christian television network that had gone extremely well, with Lianne getting much credit for pushing through the legislation that had gotten those disgusting trans individual banned from using women's restrooms.
In the lobby, Lianne looked at the house, which would soon resume sitting. It might be a while before there would be a break, so she decided to make a detour to the ladies room just to her left. There was a guard standing out front: no doubt to make sure no cross-dressing males would try to enter and cause a scene. They liked doing that.
"I have to pop in here," Lianne said. Kerri would be able to visit the facilities after the session started. "Take my case to my desk, and get things set up for me." The young girl, who idolized Lianne, eagerly went off on her mission.
Lianne smiled at the guard and went into the facilities. And froze immediately. There were four men in there. Three were chatting and the other seemed to be in a stall: doing his business standing up!
"What are you doing in here," the state legislator said. "This is the women's facility. You are men."
"Thank you for noticing," one man with a scruffy beard and a deep voice said. "But some fools in the legislature passed a law, and now we are banned from the men's room. We have to use this place. You see, we are marked as females on our birth certificates, and the new law says we are no longer allowed into men's facilities."
"That was not the intention of the law," Lianne said, nearly screeching. "It was to keep trans people out of our restrooms, not force them into it."
"Seems someone forgot that there were two types of trans people," another man said. "Do you think they might put some urinals in here. We tend to splatter a bit when we go standing up."

LOL, looks like Lianne was
hoist by her own petard
GIGGLES!
The old adage comes to mind, *be careful of what you wish for* and *you can't have it both ways*! Serves the *b-i-t-c-h* right!
Nice one Dawn! Loving Hugs Talia
I remember
I remember when the N.Carolina and Texas silliness of the senators trying to "protect their wimmen" from trans-folk was on, and I dearly wished that Chas Bono and some of his friends would come to those states and protest in this way. I think it would have quickly squelched those unfair bills.
Dawn
Ha!
The real irony? They can't be excluded from the law because it's discrimination so either they repeal it or they have to endure that exact situation and the outcome of their own stupidity!
I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime
Trans ???
I won't go through my tiresome, hand wringing sob story about my plight. Briefly, I am post op, and have been a woman since 2007. As some of you know, the rejection by loved ones often puts a life threatening wound on the whole experience. I've wrestled with the "Am I truly Trans" for more than a decade and yesterday my shrink offered that perhaps I would feel more sure if my family had not simply rejected me without giving me a chance to defend myself.
Last night as I was laying in bed, it became clear to me that if I had stayed male after my divorce, there would have been a steady stream of unattached women who needed taking care of, and one of them could have snagged me again. Years after the divorce from a 39 year marriage to a very damaged victim of abuse and rape, who was a man hater, I realize that living as a woman is good defense from needy women. And, conversely it also defends me from insecure, men who have given up and mainly just want a caregiver.
I know this sounds snotty and ugly, and if I could find a companion that is willing to row their half of the boat, it might be different.
Yes Virginia, there is an up side to this.
Buck Angel
There were some memes that used Buck Angel to send a similar message.
I would definitely give props to any t men who did like the ones in your story. They would definitely have to carry some documentation to reduce harassment, though. "Sorry, ma'am; just following the law."
Fortunately, the serious attempts at enacting such laws seems to have died down. I'm not sure what the status is of the one or two that did get passed.
Constructing a penis
is much harder than a vagina, so other than medical breakthroughs It is not going to be a likely scenario anytime soon, one can hope it happens for our afflicted brothers.
STP/FUD
There are a large number of products available to allow people with female genitalia to pee standing up. Some of them are designed as realistic-looking packers, others are simpler funnel-type designs -- they even make disposable ones. Outside of the LGBTQ+ community, they're popular with hikers, climbers, and other people who spend a lot of time outdoors far from a convenient bathroom.
They're also popular with
They're also popular with male-bodied people who have significant "shortcomings" especially if combined overly large gonads.

Phalloplasty
Phalloplasty does exist, and actually makes a reasonable semblance of a penis. The two main drawbacks are that they are only about as sensitive as regular skin (if that,) and they can't attain an erection. Still, enough MtF people get them that the above story isn't entirely unlikely. I guess a lot of the attraction is that famous male prerogative of being able to write one's name in the snow. Or maybe use the public restroom without allowing one's tender tushie to contact the filthy toilet seat.

I haven't studied the subject extensively, largely because I don't know anyone who wants or needs it, and my own equipment works perfectly well. Still, it occurs to me that the doctor could implant a silicone balloon below the tissue that needs to be used, particularly the clitoris, so that the skin is slowly stretched. A stretched out clitoris would make a sensitive penis head. I suppose the labia minora could be used to make the shaft. The doctor could even use one of those penile implants that are used for genetic males with erectile dysfunction.
You Don't Need A Penis
...Or at least not one of your own, to be a trans man. Google the pics of these men and tell me you see a woman: Aydian Dowling. Buck Angel. Laith Ashley. Leo Caldwell.
If you see a bulge in their pants, it's one of these: https://www.ftmessentials.com/pages/comparing-packers
Penis
You need one, or some facsimile thereof, to use a urinal. Though I could see some pre-op trans men talking about urinals and splattering just to annoy the lady that partially caused the problem.
Facsimiles
Exactly. Like these:

There are a number of other designs, some of which are found in *mens* bathrooms these days.

Now that is what happens with insane laws.
Too. much. fun.
Oh I love it when people try to discriminate and it gets turned back on them.
