What happened to the Quick Cuts and Teasers? From last Thursday, the QCs don't mention the author, and the Teasers don't show the teasers or the header info. The entries in both areas from before Thursday still show their info, so... what changed?

We have a bad front end
One of our front end servers has a problem with keeping the cache information correct and also falls out of synch with the others. Every so often, people have the unpleasantness of getting served it. We are in the process of replacing it, but it takes money.

Auto fix
We have a fix that runs every fifteen minutes or so to fix this when it happens. Of if Piper, Cat or I see it, we can jiggle the handle a bit and get it working again. Give us a month or so and we hope to have a permanent fix.
