or other greetings appropriate to the day!

Well things roll on, Not Dated, the next Gaby chapter is up and my real summer holiday is creeping closer!

I'm planning on having the next chunk of Book 21 out on Sunday but there is a possibility that RL will get in the way and delay it until Wednesday. I certainly hope you'll all enjoy it, I'm enjoying writing it!

I seem to have a 'summer cold' / hayfever at the moment and combined with a dose of strong south westerlies means my cycling activities are maybe not improving as much as they could - but after the state I was in a few weeks ago - is a miracle! My biggest concern is weight atm - I am lots of kilos over where I started and I've only just started seeing a tiny percentage of reduction.

well that's it for today

Ah, yes. The nemesis of so many.

Making a very concerted effort I managed to loose 29.6 lbs in 13 months. Then my life changed and I've gained 37.0 lbs in the past 16 months. I really need to start making my chick pea salad again. I love the salad. But I hate the time and effort in starting from dried chick peas. Perhaps I will start again. Real soon now. Maybe.

Getting it Down

That's one thing. Keeping it down, that's a whole different thing.

losing unwanted mass, but so worth the effort.

Sigh...

Sigh...

I must admit that i gave gotten... fluffier... than I'd like. At least you are on a path towards a goal. Although vacations never feel like a fun time to deprive oneself! Enjoy it!

Dieting depends on attitude.

Think of dieting as not depriving yourself of a caloric treat but instead you are treating yourself to a healthier body.

Eating that extra donut you are depriving yourself of health and praise ('wow, what a figure!')

That is always the attitude of people who work on maintaining their weight.

diet?

Thought that was the Irish parliament!

I've never been on a diet in my life - well when i'm in 'serious' training I'll stop my (albeit small) alcohol intake but that's about it.

I actually find that I eat less in general once I start doing longer rides regularly, burning body fat can be quite effective for weight loss but I reckon what i'm currently carrying will take a more concerted effort - have to see how the Dutch trip goes to see what I do.

It could be so much worse...

I recall having to learn the details of the Diet of Worms at school... fortunately it was in history class rather than Home Ec.

Several years later I had the unfortunate 'pleasure' of actually having to try the diet of worms on a certain military course.
Lesson 1. Put them in water or wet grass to drain out the grit from their bodies first.
Lesson 2. Never EVER travel anywhere without curry powder.
